Stonegate
Our firm was commissioned to design a new residence around an abandoned Carriage house, embedded within the lush roots of a subtropical hammock. The small historical building was designated as a guest wing, while the program for the new house disseminated among a two story structure and a secondary one story wing. The magical effect of the completed complex owes a good deal to the survival and coexistence of this historical structure and it’s relation to the New English Norman Country home. Old and new coexist harmoniously around a tropical court.
