Key Biscayne Villa I

Delicately situated in the heart of Key Biscayne’s notable neighborhood, this 7,500 square foot Neo-traditional home harkens to the architecture of seaside neighborhoods with warm wood balconies, simple lines, and whispered, reinterpreted classical details that add to the character of the house. Using simplified geometric forms, the house is positioned around an octagonal vestibule that diffuses natural light throughout the home, and offers small hints of views to the client’s private tropical oasis. The composition of brightly colored paintings with the natural hues found throughout the home introduces a contemporary dialect while still maintaining the established new traditional vernacular.
